NATIONAL GRAND PRIX CHAMPIONSHIP – ROUND 2

Round 2 of the National Grand Prix Championship (NGPC) was held in Blythe, California, where FMF KTM Factory Racing's Dante and Mateo Oliveira delivered an exceptional 1-2 performance in an intense battle of the brothers showdown.

Both equipped with the KTM 450 XC-F, it was defending five-time champion Dante who led the opening two laps before Mateo took his turn at the front of the field to control the next five laps in P1.

The decisive pass came in the pits at around the hour mark, however, where Dante took control of the race and sprinted to the checkered flag in a total time of 1:37:49. Despite a mistake that saw him momentarily go down, Mateo kept up the fight and eventually finished in second position, only four seconds outside of the victory in a breakout performance.

Dante Oliveira: "Mateo rode awesome today – hats off to him, it made for a fun race! He was pinning it, got up in front of me and put the hammer down, so I had my work cut out. I tried to ride smart and stay smooth. He pushed me to the end, it was a game of cat and mouse right until the finish, so a good charge!"

Mateo Oliveira: "My whole pre-season leading into the series was a good rebuild for myself. I'm confident and I am able to take stuff away from each race, so whatever came at me today I just stayed calm – even after I went down at one point. The rougher the track, the better I perform, and I like the nasty tracks for some reason. It was a good race track today and the result was a satisfying one for me in the end."

Pro Class Results

2. Mateo Oliveira, FMF KTM Factory Racing

U.S. SPRINT ENDURO SERIES – ROUND 2

Following a 22-day winning streak in the U.S. Sprint Enduro Series, FMF KTM Factory Racing's defending two-time champion Johnny Girroir raced to a runner-up result at Outback Motorsports. The weekend also saw FMF KTM Factory Racing Team Landers teammates Grant Davis and Brandy Richards take their class wins, respectively.

Girroir was competitive from the outset in Laurinburg, North Carolina, onboard his KTM 350 XC-F, finishing Saturday in second position, and then he was also ranked P2 after Sunday's action – only six seconds shy of the overall this weekend. He continues to lead the championship, now by a four-point margin.

Johnny Girroir: "Sprint was good! I've been feeling under the weather and just a little bit off, but Liam [Draper] was riding good so we were P2 on the podium and I'm looking forward to Round 3."

FMF KTM Factory Racing Team's Davis continued his winning ways in Pro 2, also battling for the overall riding the KTM 250 XC-F. It was a commanding performance from Davis in class and one that he has built further momentum upon in these early stages of the 2025 season.

Grant Davis: "It was sick! I was up there battling for the overall win again, the tests were really good this weekend, and I was glad to tick off another win in Pro 2."

Outback Motorsports saw FMF KTM Factory Racing Team Landers' reigning Pro Women Class number one Brandy Richards make her first U.S. Sprint Enduro Series appearance of the year in preparation for the National Enduro and Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series, putting forward a dominant display with P1 in a total time of 1:21:53.016 onboard her KTM 250 XC-F.
