Round 7 - AMA National Hare and Hound Championship - October 26, 2020
LUCERNE VALLEY, Calif. – Racing aboard the extreme KTM 790 ADVENTURE R RALLY, KTM’s very own Quinn Cody became the first-ever Hooligan Open Class Champion at Sunday’s AMA National Hare and Hound Championship finale as he raced to a fifth-consecutive victory in the micro-series’ inaugural season of competition.

With that, Cody made it a clean sweep in the five-race series which was intended for 750cc and above offroad-forward street motorcycles. Also a member of KTM’s R&D team, Cody has an exceptionally personal connection with KTM’s limited-edition 790 ADVENTURE R RALLY and there’s no better way to showcase the machine’s READY TO RACE capabilities than pairing it with a four-time Baja 1000 Champion and two-time Dakar competitor such as Cody.

Quinn Cody: “It feels super good to get this win and the Hooligan Open Championship on the KTM 790 ADVENTURE R. I have been involved in the development of this bike since the very early prototype stage and for me to actually race it and win a championship is amazing.”

Also putting forth an impressive performance this season was KTM privateer rider, David Kamo, who battled neck-and-neck for the Pro Class Championship that came all the way down to the final moments of this weekend’s finale. With a hard-fought second-place finish on Sunday, Kamo’s score actually tied the overall point standings where he was edged out in a tie-breaker after seven rounds of racing.
