8-time World Champion Cairoli to help kick off the International Dirt Bike Show for KTM

KTM’s presence at the International Dirt Bike Show on October 27-30 will be further boosted with the attendance of Antonio ‘Tony’ Cairoli.

The Red Bull KTM MXGP racer and eight-time World Champion will be present on the opening day of the event held at Stoneleigh Park, Coventry, that celebrates everything two-wheeled and off-road. Tony, who races the KTM 450 SX-F, will be there to sign autographs for fans and answer questions on the main stage.

As usual, KTM will be in attendance at the four-day event with an impressive display of its 31-strong range of class-leading SX motocross and EXC enduro machines.

The 2017 KTM Motocross range is already in dealers with various refinements and upgrades across its 2-stroke and 4-stroke line-up, as well as a brand new 250 SX machine. The range includes: 125 SX, 150 SX, 250 SX, 250 SX-F, 350 SX-F and the 450 SX-F.

After last year’s new generation of SX machine was launched with revolutionary WP AER 48 forks, a new chassis, plus new engines over previous models (except 250 SX), the KTM R&D departments in Austria and the USA have been making further improvements for 2017, and updated the 250 SX model to the latest specification of chassis with a brand new engine.

With input from the KTM Motorsports department being influential to serial production, the SX model line-up is better than ever. In the USA, where the factory team must race homologated machines, Ryan Dungey won back-to-back 450 Supercross World Championship titles aboard a KTM 450 SX-F and the 250 SX-F repeatedly demonstrates its position as the bike to have in MX2, taking World and British championships in 2017 with Jeffrey Herlings and Adam Sterry, respectively.

For model year 2017 there’s a brand new generation of Enduro machines. Re-designed from the ground-up, they take advantage of development from some of the world’s best riders competing in Hard Enduro, EnduroGP and SuperEnduro. With an entirely new chassis, all-new engines and some model changes within the ever-popular machine line-up, the 2017 KTM EXC enduro range is lighter, stronger and faster. Eight base models from 125 to 500cc – split even by four-stroke and two-stroke engines – are also joined by ‘Six Days’ versions, dripping with KTM PowerParts.

The KTM stand at the show will also showcase the petrol and electric-powered Freerides, a wide range of official PowerWear and PowerParts and along with a display of KTM Factory race machinary, including Cairoli's 450 SX-F, Sam Sunderland’s 450 Rally Dakar machine and Jonny Walker’s Hard Enduro winning 300 EXC.
