HURRICANE MILLS, Tenn. – The 44th Annual AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship, held at the famed Loretta Lynn's Ranch, was an ultra-successful week of racing for the KTM Orange Brigade in 2025, with KTM riders earning eight championships and a further 20 overall podium finishes across race week.
Leading the charge were the award-winning KTM Orange Brigade duo of Deacon Denno and Sawyer Gieck, with Denno receiving the prestigious Amateur Rider of the Year honors, while Gieck earned the Youth Rider of the Year award after each rider collected two class titles, respectively.

After missing Loretta Lynn MX one year ago due to injury, Elite team rider Denno was all class in 2025, posting a 2-1-1 scorecard to earn the 250 B championship onboard his KTM 250 SX-F, while a 1-2-2 scorecard in Schoolboy 2 (12-17) B/C yielded title number two at the Ranch this time around.

To underline Denno’s success, he also posted the fastest lap time of the event altogether, with a 1:48.093 in the second Schoolboy moto topping the timesheets across all classes throughout the highly-competitive week of competition.

For Gieck, perfection was the name of the game for the emerging Select team prospect, powering his KTM 85 SX to a convincing clean-sweep of both the 85cc (10-12) and 85cc (10-12) Limited divisions. The 13-year-old proved faultless throughout the iconic event across his six motos contested at Loretta’s.

KTM Orange Brigade Elite rider Wyatt Thurman proved one of the fastest riders at the Ranch, highlighted by two race wins – one in the 450 B Limited class and the other in the 250 B Limited division – although a sequence of misfortune kept him from the overall podium.

Across the Open Pro Sport and 250 Pro Sport categories, fellow Elite team talent Luke Fauser posted two consistent top 10 overall results to conclude his week in Hurricane Mills.

Of the remaining KTM Orange Brigade Select highlights, Nolan Ford earned a pair of fourth-place finishes in both the Supermini 1 (12-15) and Supermini 2 (13-16) divisions, with a trio of third-place moto scores his top race results. In the 65cc (10-11) category, Beckham Smith finished fifth overall with a solid P2 finish in Moto 3.

Adding to the success of the KTM Orange Brigade at Loretta’s this year, KTM-equipped Brady Collins won the 250 C Jr (12-17) Limited class, while Kylon Belles earned the 125 C title. Jeffrey Rinkel captured the College (18-24) crown, and longtime professional Andrew Short – a former Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team rider – delivered the Senior (40+) win, with each rider adding to the eight titles achieved in total.

In addition, the top 12 finishers from the Micro-E Class (4-7) Limited at Loretta Lynn MX have earned their way into the KTM Jr. SMX Championship, presented by Wells Fargo and Powered by Ford Lightning, which will take place alongside the 2025 SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX) Final at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway this September.

Over 400 competitors lined up aboard KTM machinery at the AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship this year, in what was a spectacular and highly successful turnout for the 2025 edition. For a full list of results from the 2025 AMA Amateur National, please visit mxsports.com
