SAN JUAN, Argentina – All systems are go ahead of the 2023 FIM International Six Days Enduro (ISDE), the 97th edition of the prestigious offroad event assembled in San Juan, Argentina, and due to commence from Monday, November 6. From there it will span all the way through race-week, with the motocross-type finale set to wrap the competition up on Saturday, November 11.
This year marks the first time in over five years that the ISDE has visited South America, where the U.S. team – once again managed by Antti Kallonen – is anticipating a competitive six days of action in dry, rocky conditions across the World Trophy, Junior World Trophy and Women's World Trophy categories. The KTM riders within the U.S. Team will be equipped with an assortment of XC-F machinery this week.

In announcing his retirement following the event, multiple-time ISDE overall and class winner Taylor Robert is motivated to end his career on a high after missing last year's event altogether, joined in the World Trophy squad by FMF KTM Factory Racing teammates Dante Oliveira – who recently clinched a fourth-straight AMA National Grand Prix Championship (NGPC) – and Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) contender Johnny Girroir, as well as Cole Martinez (Honda).

The Junior World Trophy roster is headed by in-form NGPC and WORCS offroad racer Mateo Oliveira in his second ISDE appearance after earning P4 within the individual Junior classification last year, the FMF KTM Factory Racing standout teaming up with Six Days debutant Grant Davis (Trail Jester's KTM) and Husqvarna Motorcycles-equipped Kai Aiello to represent the United States.

There's a lot of excitement surrounding the U.S. Women's World Trophy team, with KTM-supported Brandy Richards a former Trophy and individual winner, while Trail Jester's KTM rider Korie Steede impressed on her way to an individual second position on debut at the ISDE one year ago. They will be partnered with Rachel Gutish (GASGAS), who has also been part of the successful lineup in recent years, standing atop the podium with Richards in 2021.

Antti Kallonen, U.S. Trophy Team Manager: "We have a great rider representation at this year's Six Days here in Argentina. The majority of the riders in all three trophy divisions are on orange bikes and we could not be more proud of them racing for our country."

Taylor Robert, U.S. World Trophy Rider: "This will be my 11th ISDE alongside Antti [Kallonen]. Last year was the only one that I have missed due to injury, and it’s been my favorite race of the year ever since Kurt Caselli took me under his wing in 2010. I really had no knowledge coming into it, but it turned out to be a very important part of my career. It took me a few years to get there and 2016 was when I won my first individual overall and class as well, which I won the next three years in a row. To look back and see where we started with Antti, everything has been taken to a whole new level, and I felt like this was a fitting way to cap off my career. I feel really good on the bike right now, the terrain here is very similar to Arizona, and this is a good opportunity to finish on a good note, something I can look back on and be proud of."

Dante Oliveira, U.S. World Trophy Rider: "I’m feeling strong and ready to go! Both myself and the team have put a lot of work in this year and the goal is to be the fastest and win!"

Johnny Girroir, U.S. World Trophy Rider: "I am feeling good heading into this year's ISDE. The tests are looking good, there are lots of rocks and some fast, flowy sections. I'm excited to get the week started!"

Mateo Oliveira, U.S. Junior World Trophy Rider: "Here in Argentina for my second ISDE as a Junior Trophy rider, and I’m feeling great. The scenery and terrain is similar to west coast racing where I excel, so I’m extremely ready to get it going. I have my own goals of a Junior victory, but also we have a strong, diverse team ready to fight for the win."

Grant Davis, U.S. Junior World Trophy Rider: "I’m feeling awesome heading into my first-ever ISDE. The tests are looking really good, with a lot of rocks out there and some high-speed sections. I’m ready to get the week started!"

Brandy Richards, U.S. Women’s World Trophy Rider: "I'm very excited about this year's Six Days. It's definitely more of a desert style, which I’m a lot more comfortable with. The tests are a good mix of high speed and also some slower, technical terrain, all of them involving a lot of rocks. I can't wait to ride them and see how they all shape up."

Korie Steede, U.S. Women’s World Trophy Rider: "I’m feeling super excited heading into my second ISDE! There’s a good mix of high speed and technical tracks out here. I’m looking forward to sending it into the desert with my team!"
