CHANDLER, Ariz. – Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Dan Bromley raced his way to a top-five finish in the AFT Singles class on Saturday for Round 4 of the 2019 American Flat Track Championship at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Chandler, Arizona.

Bromley lined up in AFT Singles Heat 3 where he got off to a fourth-place start on the opening lap. He maintained a solid pace to ultimately finish fourth in the heat. In Semi 2, Bromley start off in sixth and quickly made his way into fifth by lap two. From there, he maintained a solid pace to capture a fifth-place finish, earning a second-row start position for the Main Event. In the Main, Bromley got pinched off on the start, where he was forced to begin outside the top-10. He quickly climbed his way into seventh by lap three and worked his way into the top-five with about five laps to go. On the final lap, Bromley made the pass into fourth but unfortunately it didn’t stick as he settled back into fifth just before the checkers.

Dan Bromley: “Overall, I’m happy with the finish. We struggled a lot all day and I was happy to be able to be comfortable by the Main Event and make progress toward the front, which is always the goal. I’m looking forward to heading to Perris and hopefully getting back up on the podium.”

It was a challenging day for Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Shayna Texter, who came off a big victory at the previous round. Texter didn’t get off to the best start in the day’s qualifying, where she struggled to get comfortable with the challenges of multiple obstacles on the track. Heading into Heat 3, Texter got off to a top-10 start aboard her KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION and she battled in the 10th position for the remainder of the race, just missing the final transfer position by two spots.

Shayna Texter: “It was a bit of a rough day for me, being that it’s a pretty unique race track with multiple jumps, a right-hander, front brake – all things that we don’t typically see all year. To have that many obstacles was a bit of a challenge for me. Keeping our head up, though, we’re seventh in the points heading into Perris and Sacramento – which are two tracks that I feel pretty confident going into and I feel like we could have two very strong results. Everything with the bike and team is jiving and I expect us to get back on top after this rough weekend so we’re going to keep working hard and continue to improve on these TTs.”
