Round 6 of the National Motocross Championship took place this weekend at the BORC track in Bloemfontein. While the early morning air was crisp and the wind icy, the Red Bull KTM team brought the heat with an action-packed day of racing that kept fans on their feet.

Cameron Durow delivered a masterclass performance, dominating both MX2 motos to take the overall victory and backing it up with a hard-fought 1st overall in MX1 after a 2-1 moto finish.
“Had a really great day,” Durow said. “Went fastest in both qualifying laps. The boys behind were keeping a really good pace and keeping me honest the whole moto. Looking forward to the penultimate round in Richards Bay.”

Trey Cox continued to impress as he extended his MX High School Championship lead with a double moto win and also stepped onto the MX2 podium with 3rd overall.
“Pretty much a perfect day on my 125,” Cox shared. “But these first motos in MX2 are killing me. Other than that, we’ve found a really good setup on my 250 and I feel so much more comfortable on itMoto 2 I managed to go from P4 to P2 with two laps to go.”

Luke Grundy pushed through a challenging day in MX2 to secure 4th overall, keeping his title fight on track. “Wasn't my best day,” he admitted. “Two really good starts gave me very good track position but I just couldn’t bring it all to the table this round, purely from my behalf. Still a win for me though — number one, I got humbled really good, but also number two, I didn’t lose any points. I hate not winning, and I’m more hungry than ever!”

Heading into Round 7, the Red Bull KTM team continues to lead the way, with Cameron on top of MX1, Luke leading MX2, and Trey keeping control of the MX High School class.

Team Manager
Kerim Fitz-Gerald concluded, “I’m super proud of the entire team. This round had a mix of highs and lessons, but everyone walked away with solid points and showed incredible grit. Cameron is riding with great maturity, Trey is growing stronger every round, and Luke showed great sportsmanship in owning a tough day. We’re in a good place heading into the next round.”
