RECALL OF KTM 790 ADVENTURE & KTM 790 ADVENTURE R MODELS OF MODEL YEAR 2019 and 2020: REPLACEMENT OF REAR WHEEL BRAKE

KTM is recalling KTM 790 ADVENTURE & KTM 790 ADVENTURE R models of model year 2019 and 2020 to workshops of authorized KTM dealers in order to check & replace the rear wheel brake.
Due to material nonconformity in the brake line, the rear brake system may fail under extreme conditions. Therefore, KTM is ordering the replacement of the brake line that leads from the rear brake caliper to the ABS modulator.

Customers to whom the affected motorcycles have already been delivered are being personally informed by letter and are asked to immediately contact an authorized KTM dealer to arrange an appointment. In addition, customers can check online in the “Service” area on the KTM website if their motorcycle is affected by the recall.

The revision of the rear wheel brake takes approximately 85 minutes and can only be carried out by an authorized KTM dealer. This check / repair described in the campaign is conducted free-of-charge for customers.
