RECALL OF KTM 690 DUKE AND KTM 690 DUKE R MODELS AS OF MY 2016.

REPLACEMENT OF FUEL TANK FILLER NECK COMPONENTS INCLUDING GASKETS AND FUEL LEVEL SENSOR SEALING.
KTM has recalled 690 DUKE and KTM 690 DUKE R models as of Model Year 2016 to the workshops of authorised KTM dealers in order to replace the fuel tank filler neck components, including gaskets and the fuel level sensor sealing.

Due to tolerance variations, the system comprising the fuel tank, fuel tank filler neck and fuel tank filler neck gasket may leak and fuel may escape.

To remedy this new components including a fuel tank filler neck with modified gasket, that is leak tight, have been developed. Additionally the gasket of the fuel level sensor was also modified as part of this update and must also be replaced.

Customers to whom the affected motorcycles have already been delivered are being personally informed by letter and are asked to immediately contact an authorised KTM dealer to arrange an appointment for replacement. In addition, customers can check online in the “Service” area on the KTM website if their motorcycle is affected by the recall.

The replacement of the fuel tank filler neck including gasket and fuel level sensor sealing takes approx. 40 minutes and can be carried out by authorised KTM dealers only.
The repair described in the campaign is completed free of charge by authorised KTM dealers.
