DESCHAMBAULT, QC. – Round 7 of the 2023 Canadian Triple Crown Series marked another consistent haul of points for the KTM Canada Red Bull Race Team, as 250 Pro Class riders Ryder McNabb and Kaven Benoit finished with P2 and P4 overall scores, respectively, and 450 Pro Class racer Jess Pettis claimed a P2 result overall.
Defending 250 Pro Class Champion McNabb began his day at Deschambault by posting the third-fastest qualifying time, before charging to the opening moto victory following a fourth-place start. Launching to another fourth-place start in moto two, McNabb would battle in and out of podium position, before crossing the line in fourth by the moto's end.

With his second-place finish overall, McNabb continues to lead to 250 Pro Class field in the Triple Crown Series by 33 points onboard his 250 SX-F.

Ryder McNabb, KTM Canada Red Bull Race Team 250 Rider: “It was a decent day for me, with P3 in qualifying and getting two decent starts in the motos. First moto was good, had some good battles there with the boys and managed to get the win. I struggled to get comfortable in the second moto, so I fought hard for a bit, but then opted to play it safe and came away with a fourth. Overall, I’m happy with second overall here and where we are in the championship.”

The Deschambault round marked a strong return to form for 250 Pro Class contender Benoit, who continues to recover from a hard fall from two rounds prior. The veteran, former two-time champion put in a tenacious performance for the weekend once again, which began by charging to the second-fastest qualifying time.

Deep in the fight during both motos, Benoit raced hard to a 4-3 moto scorecard, which earned the number 126 a fourth-place finish overall for the round.

Kaven Benoit, KTM Canada Red Bull Race Team 250 Rider: “Unexpected day for me here, to be honest, and I’m thrilled with how it turned out! I made the decision to line up only yesterday as I continue the healing process, and it turned out to be a great decision as we qualified P2 and raced to two strong moto results. The arm strength became an issue towards the end of both motos, but overall, I am super-happy with my 4-3 results here. One more to go!”

450 Pro Class front-runner Pettis continued his strong 2023 Championship by topping the timesheets in the morning’s qualifying sessions with an ultra-fast 2:23 lap-time.

After launching his 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION to two moto holeshots, Pettis fought hard in each moto as the track deteriorated, racing to a 2-2 moto scorecard for second position overall, which sees him maintain that same position in the 450 Pro Class standings.

Jess Pettis, KTM Canada Red Bull Race Team 450 Rider: “Solid day for me out here in Deschambault! Qualified first, which was a great start and charged to both holeshots in each moto – my bike really hooked up here off the gate. I fought for P2 in each moto and took second overall, so it was a good weekend, and I’d like to say a big thanks to the team for all of their hard work!”
