KTM Enduro Racing Team’s Daniel Milner and Lyndon Snodgrass have clicked off a bittersweet campaign at the 2018 Australian Four-Day Enduro (A4DE). The event held in Cessnock, New South Wales, saw Milner clinch his fifth Outright title.

The Victorian dominated the event aboard his KTM 500 EXC-F, leading all four days in both the Outright standings and his respective E3 division, ultimately resulting in his maiden A4DE crown in the category.

Crossing the line with over a 1 minute advantage over runner-up Daniel Sanders, Milner was essentially untouchable throughout this year’s edition, clocking up the greater portion of test victories on offer.

For teammate Snodgrass, the event proved to be an unfortunate experience. After displaying promising form on the opening day that saw him situated third Outright, a technical issue on day two ultimately brought his bid for a podium finish to a halt, forcing him out of the following two days of racing.

Despite the setback, Snodgrass is putting his misfortune behind him as he focuses on the upcoming rounds three and four of the Australian Off-Road Championship, scheduled for 5-6 May in Hedley, Victoria

Glenn Kearney - Motorsport Manager, KTM Australia: "Definitely from Daniel’s side, it was an impressive performance. He made a few changes to his suspension coming into this event following the first AORC, and obviously, they were the right ones. He’s really happy with the bike, and it showed in the times – he won the majority of the tests, and the only one the challenge him was Chucky. Unfortunately for Lyndon, he had an electrical problem on day two, and with the nature of this event, you’re running against the clock – he managed to figure the problem out, but unfortunately it took too much time and put him out of the race."

Daniel Milner - KTM 500 EXC-F: "I’m pretty stoked, that’s for sure. The last A4DE I did, didn’t go as well to plan, so to be able to rack up my fifth A4DE win out here in Cessnock is a pretty big deal for me because it’s the 40th anniversary and there are a lot of legends here. It’s also my first A4DE win on a KTM and in E3. It was definitely difficult out there, it was probably one of the most difficult A4DEs I’ve done in years. For what we were riding, my 500 EXC-F was handling unreal – the bike and I gelled really good."

Lyndon Snodgrass - KTM 450 EXC-F: "I got off to a good start on day one, I made a few mistakes in the first few tests, but then I started to find my groove. When the results came out, it turned out I was running third, so I was happy with that. On day two, things didn’t go to plan when I had a technical issue, but these things happen. It was a bit disappointing considering I was having a good run. I’ll regroup and now I’m looking forward to the AORC at Hedley in Victoria."
