KTM RED BULL THOR FACTORY RACE TEAM MEMBERS THOMPSON AND WARD WITH IMPRESSIVE PERFORMANCES AT RD3 OF THE TRIPLE CROWN AX SERIES IN SARNIA, ON

Chambly, QC – The KTM Red Bull Thor Factory Racing Team had a successful night in Sarnia, ON Saturday. Cole Thompson finished the night on top of the podium with an impressive first place finish in the MX1 class. Thompson was a crowd favorite as he raced in his hometown in front of friends and family.

This Saturday’s win in Sarnia places Thompson in a favorable position going into the final round of AX in Barrie, ON next weekend.

Jean-Sebastien Roy – KTM Red Bull Thor Factory Racing Team Manager: It was clear that Cole was very happy to be back racing close to home. He totally dominated the field in front of his hometown crowdMany racers had difficulties with the track conditions, but Cole was smooth and aggressive at the same time. Another great performance.

KTM Red Bull Thor Factory Racing Team Member Tanner Ward also finished the night on the podium. Ward did not waste any time, he qualified second early in the night which gave him extra confidence going into the main. Ward has been training in Florida with KTM Red Bull Thor Factory race team member Jess Pettis. It was clear from his performance on Saturday that Ward’s extensive training has been paying off. We look forward to seeing him bring the heat to the Triple Crown Motocross Series beginning in June.

Jean-Sebastien Roy – KTM Red Bull Thor Factory Racing Team Manager: Tanner truly made an entrance for his first race of the season. He was on fire all weekend long. He maintained composure throughout the main event, despite being under pressure from the riders behind him. He rode smart and didn’t make any mistakes. Both team members rode exceptionally well, and I am happy to see them perform at 100%.

The AX series will continue next weekend in Barrie, Ontario. It will be the final round of the four-round series.

We want to extend a big congratulations to both #TEAMORANGE riders from everyone here at KTM Canada.
