A 2000-kilometre, six-day journey marked a spectacular return to action for the 2021 KTM Australia Adventure Rallye: QLD Ranges, with orange adventurers finally having the opportunity to get back together for a week at the beginning of May, packed with outstanding camaraderie along the way.
In the first KTM Australia Adventure Rallye held in two years, an excited group of 135 participants and 35 staff made the most of South East Queensland's finest adventuring under the guidance of local experts in the region who assisted in mapping out the event's route.

Despite uncertainty that continues to have an effect on travel, the 2021 KTM Australia Adventure Rallye: QLD Ranges successfully went ahead and, when all was said and done post-event, the feel-good vibe was at its peak - the journey complete and a sense of normality via two-wheels welcomed by all.

This year's rallye took off from the rural town of Kenilworth in the Sunshine Coast region, where legendary two-time Dakar Rally winner, Toby Price of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing, made a surprise and hugely-popular appearance on the opening night at Kenilworth Showgrounds.

From there, memorable overnight stops took place in Rainbow Beach, Agnes Waters, Cania Gorge, Gayndah and Bunya Mountains. Of course, the highlights along the way were vast, with the on-bike action complimented by all kinds of excitement off the bike in between.

One of these highlights was visiting the Kroombit Tops National Park and the Beautiful Betsy Bomber crash site, where riders experienced a local Australian historic point of interest while also incorporating a selection of amazing adventure tracks in the area.  The six days of brilliant Aussie bushland, beaches and forests, coupled with unique destinations, saw memories made that will last a lifetime.

As always, onlookers - and participants themselves - enjoyed gazing at the mixture of KTM ADVENTURE models that were brought along for the ride, led by KTM adventure ambassador Chris Birch, who made the trip across the ditch from New Zealand and showcased the all-new 2021 KTM 1290 SUPER ADVENTURE R - one of the first in Australia!

The final day saw a fundraising lunch at the remarkable Louisavale Station - which featured one of the best tracks of the entire event - featuring a BBQ lunch with steak burgers, fresh scones and cold drinks. All proceeds went towards the family’s 14-year-old son Gus, who is fittingly saving to buy his first KTM dirt bike.

In all, the KTM Australia Adventure Rallye continues to support Australian communities, bolstering tourism in rural and local regions that have been incredibly supportive of the ride coming through their towns and making the most of Australia's brilliant landmarks on every occasion.

KTM sincerely thanks all who made the KTM Australia Adventure Rallye: QLD Ranges possible, from staff to supporting crew, participants and those instrumental in enabling this year's event to successfully go ahead in 2021.
