KTM is pleased to announce a significant expansion of its long-standing partnership with Alpinestars, makers of technical, high-performance protective racing and riding gear. The intensification of this agreement brings the two highly successful motorsports brands closer together and allows them to exploit their synergies in the joint quest to ensure riders are equipped to achieve their full potential.
The two companies have an established ongoing relationship, with multiple Motocross World Championships won by KTM factory riders in Alpinestars gear and protection since 2004. Alpinestars currently give KTM’s racers the very latest in performance equipment from the young talents racing in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, to the factory riders in the MXGP and AMA Motocross series and the KTM Factory Team in the Dakar who delivered a 15th straight victory in 2016 with Toby Price.

KTM and Alpinestars are each engaged in a substantial motorsport program with the shared goal of delivering high-performance equipment, conceptualized and realized in their individual state-of-the-art R&D centers.

Embarking on a number of significant projects, the partners will work closer together, aiming to deliver performance protection products that suit all riders – from the passionate amateur to multiple world champions.

Stefan Pierer (CEO KTM): “Our two companies have been very closely engaged in several joint projects for some time. We both benefit from this close cooperation because we share very similar core values. We´re now delighted to be able to intensify this partnership and to bring it to the next level. Through this, we will be able to provide each other with valuable support and in the process, it will be motorsport-oriented riders who will primarily benefit from our close cooperation.

Gabriele Mazzarolo (CEO Alpinestars): “KTM, like Alpinestars, is recognized as a leader in innovation and performance and after many years working together, this commitment to further integrate our partnership is a natural step forward. Alpinestars and KTM are a powerful combination in the study and development of innovation for racing, performance touring and general motorcycling.”

KTM will enlarge the production portfolio of high-performance riding apparel for both street and offroad to include a bigger range of Alpinestars products with a strong focus on safety improvements using innovations born straight out of motorsport.

In 2017, Alpinestars will become the exclusive partner for all of KTM’s factory racing activities regarding official team wear. Alpinestars will also be the official supplier of the new KTM MotoGP Factory Racing Team, who will benefit from having cutting edge products from the world’s leader in racing apparel technology.
