KTM Junior Racing Team riders have achieved their share of success following a week of intense competition at the 2024 KTM Australian Junior Motocross Championship (AJMX), headlined by Jackson Fuller clinching the 125cc 15 Years title.
Fuller also finished P2 in the 250cc 15 Years championship, while Ollie Birkitt finished P2 in the 85cc 12-U14 Years class, and Cooper Ford finished on the podium in the 85cc 14-U16 Years division.

Queensland talent Fuller proved to be the class act on his KTM 125 SX as he overcame a P4 finish in the opening moto to claim two wins and two runner-up and capture the 125cc 15 Years crown.

Wrapping up a successful weekend – this time equipped with the KTM 250 SX-F – Fuller stayed within striking distance of his 250cc class title by finishing P2 in the first four races, then a third in the final moto of the weekend.

Jackson Fuller: "The week was tough, but I felt I got better as it went on and I could carry some momentum into some of the last races. I couldn’t be happier to get the job done on the 125 class and to finish P2 in the 250s. I turn 16 in November, so this was my last junior nationals and I can’t wait to get after it in MX3 next year!"

A strong finish to a hectic week of racing saw Birkitt claim the runner-up spot to his 85cc campaign on countback, riding the KTM 85 SX. Tight battles were a feature of the class all week, and the Western Australian local made it count when it mattered most by winning the fifth and final moto.

Ollie Birkitt: "It was great to race in my home state. Even though I had a few crashes, my week went well overall and I stayed strong. It felt good to win that last moto and to finish second overall. The track was really brutal and it was all about survival in the end, but it came down to who was the best rider."

KTM Junior Racing Team's Cooper Ford also tasted podium success with a third overall in the 85cc 14-U16 Years class on his KTM 85 SX. The Tasmanian was on track for second overall after posting 5-3-2-2 results, but a crash late in the final moto saw him finish P6 and land third in the points chase. Ford also competed in the 125cc 13-U15 Years class where he finished P11.

Cooper Ford: "My week started good with qualifying and practice. I didn’t have the best 85cc first final as the gate bounced up and I hit it. That set me back, but I recovered well until I had a big crash out the back in my final race today. Finishing sixth was still good enough for a podium though. I struggled for strength on the 125, but we’ll go and hit the gym more and we’ll be better next year."

Queensland’s Kyle Harvey charged to eighth in the 250cc 13-U15 Years class and 15th overall in the 125cc 13-U15 class. His best race results were P8 placings in both divisions, which he will be able to build upon after gaining immense experience in the Western Australian track conditions this week.

Kyle Harvey: "The track was really tough this week. I didn’t get the results I was looking for, but hopefully I can come back stronger next year. Racing two classes was a lot harder on bigger bikes and fitness came into it a lot, but I learned so much this week too."

Congratulations also to Bunbury KTM-supported racer Levi Farr, who took out the 85cc 14-U16 Years title, as well as Mason Ezergalis with the 65cc 10-U12 Years championship victory on his KTM 65 SX.
