KTM Racing Team’s Dylan Walsh has climbed to fourth position in the SX1 standings after Round 4 of the 2025 AUSX Supercross Championship, finishing eighth overall at the high-profile AUSX Open international event inside Melbourne's Marvel Stadium on Saturday night.
Walsh recorded the eighth-fastest qualifying time onboard his KTM 450 SX-F around the sprawling layout, posting fifth in his Heat Race to enter the two-final format with momentum on his side.

A pair of opening lap incidents had an impact on Walsh's scoresheet across the night, with P9 in the first main followed by eighth in the second encounter earning him eighth overall. The result elevates him to P4 in the SX1 standings with a single event remaining at the Adelaide Grand Final this weekend.

Dylan Walsh: “AUSX Open was off to a good start on Saturday, as both my starts were solid, but I got tangled up with another rider on the first lap of both races in a situation I couldn’t control. It was a shame because we’ve definitely made good progress with the bike, so I'm looking forward to the last round and putting in a strong result to finish the supercross season."

Equipped with the KTM 250 SX-F in SX2, KTM Racing Team teammate Byron Dennis set the seventh-quickest time in qualifying before racing to third in his Heat Race, collecting a direct entry into the finals.

A challenging two finals on the slick Marvel Stadium track conditions saw the teenager record a 13-12 scorecard, which resulted in a 12th-place finish overall.

Byron Dennis: "The day in Melbourne started off pretty good, I felt solid on the bike and was nice and comfortable. I had a good qualifying session and the Heat was good too, so everything was trending in the right direction. A crash early on in the opening final had me drop the ball a little bit from there – I don't think the results really showed how good my training has been. That's disappointing, although up until that point we were good, so we'll try to replicate that form and take it into Adelaide."

KTM Racing Team-supported Jackson Fuller produced an impressive night of racing in the SX3 division, taking a well-earned sixth place in the Final.

In addition, KTM-mounted privateer Hayden Mellross continues his standout SX1 campaign, holding third in the championship standings after finishing P6 in Melbourne.

KTM Junior Racing Team rider Ollie Birkitt finished second in the KTM SX85 Futures Final, joined on the podium by fellow KTM 85 SX rider Luis Cannon. Nate Perrett also claimed a top-five result with the KTM Junior Racing Team.
