Another round of strong results saw KTM Racing Team riders Nathan Crawford and Noah Ferguson claim podium finishes at Round 5 of the 2025 Australian ProMX Championship in Warwick, Queensland, on a weekend where teammates Byron Dennis and Kirk Gibbs finished with fifth and eighth place finishes, respectively.
In the MX1 Class, Crawford was in form and READY TO RACE from the get-go in Southern Queensland, powering his KTM 450 SX-F to third overall for the day.

After posting the fifth-fastest qualifying time, the 27-year-old launched out of the gate to secure the opening race holeshot and lead the initial laps. After battling with the front-runners for the moto's duration, Crawford would take a P2 finish.

Race two saw another fast start, as he again made his way into the early lead. Maintaining the pace, Crawford charged home for third position, with his 2-3 scorecard earning third overall, and solidifying his P3 placement in the standings with three rounds remaining.

Nathan Crawford: “That’s four out of five podiums for me this year, so I’m happy with that. From the first lap of practice I felt comfortable today and we didn’t change a clicker on the bike all day – I could focus on my riding and I think that showed. I felt I rode with more spark. This podium felt a lot more earned and my starts were really good. I holeshot the first moto and was second around the corner in the second moto. I was really happy with my early intensity, because I fought hard and got into the lead, and little wins like that throughout the day are what I’m chasing.”

MX1 teammate Gibbs finished his day with a consistent eighth overall, with the South Australian powering his KTM 450 SX-F to two P8 finishes across the two-moto format, and he currently holds down P7 in the championship.

Kirk Gibbs: “I struggled a bit today, which was surprising as I’ve ridden here a lot and have a good feeling on the track. I tried to rely on that, but I put myself in bad positions off the start, and that made things difficult for me. I need to make a few little changes before the next round, so we’ll keep pushing forward and look to improve at Canberra.”

Equipped with the KTM 250 SX-F, Ferguson’s MX2 campaign continues to gather momentum with a third-place finish overall at Warwick. Second in qualifying was backed up by a good start in moto one, with the number 29 applying pressure to the race leaders for the duration and earning a P3 result.

The second outing saw Ferguson lead the majority of the race around the technical Morgan Park-based circuit, before crossing the line in P2 for third overall on the podium, and he maintains P3 in the MX2 championship.

Noah Ferguson: “I’m pretty stoked with today and to have achieved four podiums from five rounds so far this year. That’s a first for me. I got a good start to the first moto, but I got arm-pump at the halfway mark. That was on me and we learnt from that. I ripped another good start to moto two, dug deep and led a lot of laps. Unfortunately, a couple of mistakes cost me late, but I’m happy with where we’re at, our progress, and the bike.”

A pair of top-five finishes resulted in a consistent fifth position overall at Round 5 for Dennis, who raced to fourth in moto one onboard his KTM 250 SX-F, while a climb from outside the top 10 to P5 in race two marked a convincing comeback for the teenager. His performance sees him continue to hold down fifth in the MX2 standings.

Byron Dennis: “Today wasn’t as good as the previous round for me and it certainly wasn’t my best day, although the result was okay in the end. I got a good start in the first race, but I got boxed out in the second moto and had to come back through the field. I feel like I’m riding well, I just need to put myself in a better position early and make the best out of the opportunities that are presented to me out on the track.”
