Round 2 – EnduroCross – September 23, 2017
RENO, Nev. - FMF KTM Factory Racing's Cody Webb put together a perfect weekend at round two of the EnduroCross Series held Women’s Class rider Kacy Martinez landed on the podium with a third-place ride and maintains second in the championship standings.

Webb started his night off right with a holeshot and a wire to wire win in his heat race to head to the main event with a great gate pick. Bracket racing was up next with an all-important championship point up for grabs to the winner. Cody made quick work of his first bracket race of three riders and then his second race of two riders with two easy wins to head to the final bracket for a head-to-head battle with championship rival, Colton Haaker. Once again, Webb executed a perfect start to jump into the lead and take an easy win.

Kacy Martinez ripped a holeshot and jumped out to an early lead in the Women’s Pro Main event before dropping to third in the opening lap. She put in some good laps to move into second before going back to third to grab the last podium spot at the finish. Kacy sits second overall in points.

The Super EnduroCross final would greet riders with 14 long laps on the grueling Reno track. Webb was once again looking to get the holeshot and check out to the win, but things didn’t go to plan. Webb was third at the start then had a big crash in the wood pile on the opening lap. With a big deficit to make up, Cody rode near perfect laps to hunt down rider after rider and, by lap 10, was able to make a pass stick to take over the lead. Webb rode steady in the remaining laps to take a big win and complete his perfect night to take max points on the night and leap into the championship lead.

Webb: “All day I felt really confident and I was excited to get the racing underway in Reno. It’s local to where I grew up so I had a lot of friends and family come watch. The team had the bike dialed and I was feeling comfortable all day. I was happy with how things were going all day, and was really excited to get my first win of the season and get the red plate for the first time since 2015 when I won the championship. It’s been a good start and I’m looking forward to next weekend."
