KTM riders head to France for 92nd International Six Days Enduro ISDE 2017 - Brive (FRA) Multiple Enduro World Champion and two-time ISDE overall fastest competitor, Christophe Nambotin will represent host nation France on his KTM 300 EXC. He leads the four-rider team in their bid to win the World Trophy competition for the first time since 2014. France have won the event the previous two times it has been held in their country, with the most recent being 2001 when the event was also held in Brive.   Nathan Watson leads the charge for Great Britain with his KTM 350 EXC-F. Watson, who currently sits fourth overall in the EnduroGP World Championship standings, is now fully fit and looking to put his difficult, injury-hit start to the season behind him by taking on the challenge of his second ISDE.   Spain’s Josep Garcia has high hopes of a strong result in France on his KTM 250 EXC-F. The 2016 ISDE Enduro 1 class winner currently leads the point’s standings in the Enduro 2 World Championship. Finishing third overall at last year’s ISDE on home soil, Garcia will be going all out to secure a second consecutive E1 class win, while playing a key role in Spain’s World Trophy team effort.   Daniel Sanders had an outstanding 2016 ISDE. The Australian won the Enduro 3 category to finish the event as the second-fastest overall competitor. With Australia hoping for a repeat of their 2015 victory, KTM 250 EXC mounted Sanders and his team mates start the event in France as one of the World Trophy team favourites.   Competing for the USA, Taylor Robert and Kailub Russell start the 92nd ISDE hoping to defend their World Trophy team crown. Ending the 2016 ISDE as the overall fastest rider in Spain, following a full-season of Enduro World Championship competition, Robert moves to the Enduro 3 class this year. Competing again in the Enduro 2 class, Russell will race on a KTM 350 EXC-F.    In the World Trophy, Junior World Trophy and Women’s World Trophy competitions, KTM make up a significant proportion of the machinery entered. Sixteen of the 19 World Trophy teams and 10 of the 16 Junior World Trophy teams feature KTM mounted riders. Seven of the nine Women’s World Trophy teams feature KTM riders, including the very strong, all-KTM United States team of Kacy Martinez, Rebecca Sheets and Brandy Richards.   In the Club Team competition, over 500 competitors from all over the world will compete in this year’s event. The Club category truly embodies the spirit of the ISDE with 30 different countries represented, and riders coming from as far and wide as Japan, Brazil and Australia. As in previous years, KTM is the most popular brand among Club team competitors with over 200 bikes among the entry.    Notable KTM mounted Club team riders include hard enduro ace Cody Webb. The American is competing in his first ever ISDE together with 2016 AMA EnduroCross Junior Champion Ty Tremaine and ISDE regular Ben Kelley.    In total, nearly 800 riders will take part in the event widely known as the ‘Olympics of motorcycle racing’.
