Cody Webb Takes Home 2nd at Las Vegas EnduroCross! LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The 2017 EnduroCross series kicked off inside the confines of the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, NV and FMF KTM Factory Racing’s Cody Webb and Kacy Martinez were looking to grab podium finishes and good points to start their respective seasons in the 7 round stadium series. Super EnduroCross Qualifier Cody Webb was third at the start of the EnduroCross Qualifier then quickly moved into the second place spot. He was on the move following Colton Haaker for the lead. Inching closer by the end of the first lap, he started putting pressure on him and made the pass for the lead in the rock pile on lap two but was then regulated to the 2nd spot after Haaker made an aggressive pass for the lead. He remounted quickly and focused on moving back through the pack. He quickly made his way back into second and rode it to the finish to transfer to the main. Super EnduroCross Bracket Race Webb took the easy win in his first bracket race, battled to a win in his second bracket and finished second in the final bracket race. Women’s Main Kacy Martinez was third at the start of the Women’s Main then moved into fourth before passing a pileup of riders near the matrix to move into second. She made the pass for the lead in the matrix the following lap before going down in the rock pile and falling back to second. She battled for her position and made more passes in the matrix once again to make it back into the lead right before the white flag. She got caught up in the rock pile in the final lap once again but put in more passes on an exciting last lap to make a quick comeback and finish second on the night and grab some good points. Super EnduroCross Main Cody Webb pulled the holeshot in the Super EnduroCross Main and held his ground. He went back to second in lap eight when he took the no-joke lane, but reclaimed the position the following lap in the corner right before the matrix. Haaker made a pass on him in lap nine but then went down briefly after some contact and lost touch with the leader. He rode strong in the remaining laps to come home 2nd overall on the night. Webb: “I’m overall happy with how I rode tonight. I’m a little disappointed with second, but I’m really excited for the rest of the season and I’m looking forward to ISDE."
