[TEMPLATE] NEW SPECIAL EXHIBITION AT THE KTM MUSEUM TO MARK "30 YEARS OF DUKE" "Every DUKE embodies that uncompromising spirit, and you just know at the first glance that this is a DUKE," says Wolfgang Felber. In the early 1990s, the road racer and KTM R&D employee didn't want to accept the fact that KTM only built enduro and motocross bikes So he took a KTM 550 Enduro, 17-inch Supermoto tires and built a street bike. Together with the then Managing Director Kalman Cseh and the designer Gerald Kiska, he created a legendary motorbike model – the KTM DUKE! The first DUKE went down a storm. The impetuous powerhouse was not a motorbike for gentle souls – it was made for those who were looking for a pure, unadulterated riding experience. And that has remained the case to this day: each new version of the DUKE has absolutely no regard for the status quo and continues to evolve – while never forgetting its roots. Special exhibition over 300 square meters in the KTM Museum As they enter the special exhibition, the first thing visitors see is an impressive installation of an "exploded" KTM 1390 SUPER DUKE R with the bike suspended from the museum ceiling in all its individual parts. In the special exhibition, 15 extraordinary single and twin-cylinder motorbikes depict the story of the DUKE's development into a unique icon and reveal the people behind the bike. The deep black container is another prominent element in the exhibition. A KTM 990 DUKE is inside in the wheely position: get on, choose a background and pose for a photo while doing a wheely. DUKE riders are like the DUKE: intrepid individualists. And now they too have become part of the exhibition! On the Community Wall, anyone who wants to still has the opportunity to submit their DUKE snapshot and immortalize themselves on the LED wall. A flying start to the opening Saturday The opening of the two-year special exhibition will be celebrated on October 12th with a breathtaking program. Stunt shows and tech talks with Rok Bagoroš and a stage interview with DUKE initiator Wolfgang Felber (Vice President, Technology Road Racing at KTMRacing GmbH). A children's program in the Innovation -Lab, guided test rides, information and sales stands, as well as a food truck on the museum forecourt will turn the day into a great family event.
