RACE 16th Rd. MotoGP 2017 – Phillip Island (AUS)
In Moto2, history was made today as KTM took their first Grand Prix victory in the class when Miguel Oliveira lead the Australian Grand Prix from start to finish. KTM send their congratulations to Red Bull KTM Ajo on winning this land mark race and to Oliveira on taking his first victory in Moto2.
The best result as a team was taken today also by Red Bull KTM MotoGP Factory Racing as Pol Espargaro and Bradley Smith both finished inside the top ten at the Australian MotoGP. The two KTM RC16s were ninth and tenth over the line an impressive 16 seconds behind the winner of the race after 27 laps. For KTM it now means they have been victorious in four classes of Grand Prix racing with wins in 125cc, 250cc, Moto3 and now Moto2.
Moto3 was a rain interrupted race as rain fell after 15 laps, the leading KTM across the line was Gabriel Rodrigo in fourth just 0.029 secs off the podium. The team now moves on to Malaysia for the penultimate race of the season next Sunday.
Rnd 8, EnduroGP 2017 – Zschopau, Germany
KTM Enduro Factory Racing’s Josep Garcia has won the 2017 FIM Enduro 2 World Championship. Battling his way through a challenging final round of the series in Zschopau, Germany, a second-place finish on day one and a fifth-place result on day two was more than enough for the talented Spaniard to secure the coveted E2 title. Adding to KTM’s success Christophe Nambotin enjoyed a great weekend with the Frenchman securing a double EnduroGP class podium on his return to competition following injury.

QUALIFYING 16th Rd. MotoGP 2017 – Phillip Island (AUS)
Red Bull KTM Factory Racing have taken their first second row grid slot in MotoGP today with Pol Espargaro clinching sixth position in qualifying for tomorrow’s Australian Grand Prix. The speed over one of the best race tracks in the world for the KTM RC16 was evident throughout all of the four free practice sessions as a KTM was in the top 10 every time of asking, the best of which was Saturday morning when Pol Espargaro was third. The KTM Moto2 was equally as stunning as the Red Bull Ajo duo qualified brilliantly with Miguel Oliveira getting his fourth front row start of the season in third and 2016 Moto3 World Champion Brad Binder fourth. KTM were on the front row in Moto3 with Gabriel Rodrigo taking his fourth front row start of the season in what promises to be a stunner of a race tomorrow.
Rnd 8, EnduroGP 2017 – Zschopau, Germany
The KTM Enduro Factory Racing team are ready to race at the eighth and final round of the 2017 FIM EnduroGP World Championship, being held in Zschopau, Germany. Heading into the event, Josep Garcia holds a 13-point advantage in the E2 championship standings as he looks to claim his first senior enduro title. Nathan Watson will also be gunning for a top finish after his excellent results at the previous round in Great Britain.
KTM unveiled its second-generation FREERIDE E-XC model year 2018 at the Red Bull Hangar-7 in Salzburg, Austria and presented its future plan for the e-mobility segment.
