2019 Motocross
While MXGP was taking place in Asia the best youngsters in dirt bike racing were tackling the annual FIM Junior World Championships at the Pietramurata circuit in Arco di Trento in Italy. From the three categories – 65cc, 85cc and 125cc – KTM machinery helped riders to two of the titles thanks to the efforts of Vitezslav Marek and Valerio Lata.
2nd Rd. Rally 2019 – Silk Way Rally (Russia, Mongolia, China)
Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Sam Sunderland has won the Silk Way Rally – round two of the 2019 FIM Cross-Country Rallies World Championship. Teammate Luciano Benavides finished in fifth overall to top the Junior class for the event. KTM Factory Racing’s Laia Sanz won the Women’s category with an excellent seventh overall.

Posting the fourth fastest time today, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Sam Sunderland has again increased his lead at the top of the provisional overall standings with just one stage of the 2019 Silk Way Rally remaining. Luciano Benavides completed stage nine in eighth place, with Laia Sanz just outside the top 10 in 11th.
2nd Rd. Rally 2019 – Silk Way Rally (Russia, Mongolia, China)
Sam Sunderland has completed stage eight of the 2019 Silk Way Rally in eighth place to successfully defend his rally lead. Luciano Benavides put in an extremely strong performance to post the fifth-fastest stage time but an unfortunate five-minute penalty dropped him to fourth in the overall standings. KTM Factory Racing’s Laia Sanz clocked the 12th fastest time on the long, technically-demanding stage.
MXGP 2019 Round 12 of 18, Semarang (IND)
Jorge Prado continued his march to the 2019 FIM MX2 World Championship with an eleventh Grand Prix victory thanks to two more motos wins around the hard-pack of Semarang. The Spaniard conquered the twelfth round of the season and the second in Indonesia this week and remains unbeaten on his KTM 250 SX-F. Teammate Tom Vialle finished as runner-up for the third race in succession.
2nd Rd. Rally 2019 – Silk Way Rally (Russia, Mongolia, China)
Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Sam Sunderland currently heads the overall standings as the 2019 Silk Way Rally arrives in China. Stage seven of the event has been a liaison only, with no timed special. Racing against the clock will resume on Sunday when stage eight heads to the dunes of the Gobi Desert.
