Dakar Rally 2018 – Stage 9
The Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team have travelled to Salta in Argentina to continue the 40th edition of the Dakar Rally. Stage nine of the event was cancelled due to extreme weather conditions making Monday’s proposed timed special unfit to race.
Dakar Rally 2018 – Stage 8
The Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team have completed a very successful stage eight of the 2018 Dakar Rally. Antoine Meo claimed his second win in three stages, Toby price finished a very strong third and Matthias Walkner moved back up to third overall in the provisional standings following a sixth-place finish.
Dakar Rally 2018 – Stage 7
Red Bull KTM Factory Racing riders have successfully completed the long, 727km stage seven of the 2018 Dakar Rally. Second away at the start of the timed special, Toby Price rode a consistent day, increasing his pace towards the end of the stage to claim fourth. Matthias Walkner rode to a solid sixth place, with Thursday’s stage winner, Antoine Meo finishing ninth.
Dakar Rally 2018 – Restart
Rest day over, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing now look ahead to the second week of racing in what has proven to be one of the toughest Dakar Rallies since the event made the switch to South America. Matthias Walkner leads the charge, currently third in the overall standings. The pair of Antoine Meo and Toby Price are hot on his heels and will open the road on Saturday’s marathon stage.

With six arduous days of competition now completed and eight to go, the 40th Anniversary edition of the world’s most iconic rally event is proving to be every bit as special as expected. As riders recharge their weary bodies and mechanics work to prepare bikes, Team Manager Alex Doringer offers his thoughts on what’s been a dramatic opening five days, the importance of the rest day and the challenges that lie ahead.

STAGE SIX WIN FOR ANTOINE MEO AT DAKAR 2018
      
Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Antoine Meo has won the sixth stage of the Dakar Rally 2018. Competing in the final Peruvian stage of this year’s event, Meo put in an excellent performance to top the shortened stage by 30 seconds and arrive safely in Bolivia. Toby Price chased down his team-mate, finally finishing in third. Matthias Walkner also put in a good ride, posting the eighth fastest time and finishing just three minutes down on Meo.
